You must have admin level permissions to connect any integrations within Guideflow

How to configure Marketo integration

Step 1: Configure Marketo integration

  • Navigate to 'Integrations' within your Guideflow dashboard.

  • Find Marketo and click on "Configure" to initiate the setup process.

Step 2: Provide Marketo API credentials

  • You'll need to provide the following Marketo API credentials:

    • Client ID

    • Client Secret

    • Endpoint URL

    • Identity URL

Important: Ensure you have at least one free Custom Activity in your Marketo account for this integration to work properly.

Marketo user permissions The Marketo user associated with the API credentials must have the following permissions:

  • Read-Write Activity

  • Read-Write Activity Metadata

  • Read-Write Person

  • Read-Write Schema Custom Field

  • Read-Write Schema Standard Field

Demo Data Sent to Marketo

Once the integration is set up, Guideflow will automatically create the following custom fields in Marketo:

  1. Guideflow Session ID (unique identifier for each demo session)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_session_id

  2. Guideflow Name (name of the demo viewed)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_name

  3. Guideflow ID (unique identifier of the demo)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_id

  4. Guideflow URL (link to the demo)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_url

  5. Time Spent (duration in seconds)

    • Type: Number

    • Field Name: guideflow_time_spend

  6. Percent of Completion (percentage of steps completed)

    • Type: Number

    • Field Name: guideflow_percent_of_completion

  7. Is Completed (whether the demo was fully completed)

    • Type: Boolean

    • Field Name: guideflow_is_completed

  8. Steps Total Number (total number of steps in the demo)

    • Type: Integer

    • Field Name: guideflow_steps_total_number

  9. Last Step ID (identifier of the last viewed step)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_step_id

  10. Last Step Index (position of the last viewed step)

    • Type: Integer

    • Field Name: guideflow_step_index

  11. Last Step Name (name of the last viewed step)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_step_name

  12. CTA Clicked (name of the call-to-action button clicked)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_cta_clicked

  13. CTA Clicked Location (where in the demo the CTA was clicked)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_cta_clicked_location

  14. Workspace ID (identifier of the Guideflow workspace)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_workspace_id

  15. Folder ID (identifier of the folder containing the demo)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_folder_id

  16. Folder Name (name of the folder containing the demo)

    • Type: String

    • Field Name: guideflow_folder_name
