Capture settings

Make sure that you have the Chrome extension downloaded and installed on your browser before you get started.

There are two ways to set up capture settings in the Chrome browser:

1. Guideflow's Chrome extension settings

  1. Click on the Guideflow Chrome extension.

  2. On the top right, click on the gear icon to open the settings.

Available settings

  • AI generated call-to-actions - Toggle on if you want AI to help you generate descriptions for your call-to-actions (you can edit them later).

  • Multi-tabs capture - Toggle on to enable capture across different browser tabs.

  • Record video on drag & drop - Toggle on to automatically capture a video clip when dragging and dropping elements.

  • Record video on scroll - Toggle on to automatically record vertical or horizontal scroll movements.

  • Record video on typing - Toggle on to automatically record a video when you start typing (ie. typing in a search bar).

2. Chrome's extensions settings for keyboard shortcuts

To quickly manage extension keyboard shortcuts, go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your Chrome browser.

  • In your Chrome browser, go to the menu in the upper-right corner

  • Go to Settings

  • Go to Extensions

  • Go to Keyboard shortcuts

  • Find Guideflow

  • Set your keyboard shortcut for "Start/Stop recording video"

  • Set your keyboard shortcut for "Start/Stop recording new video step"

Available settings

  • Start/stop recording video - Press the keyboard shortcut to begin video capture. Recording will continue until you either press the shortcut again or click anywhere on the screen.

  • Start/stop recording new video step - Press the keyboard shortcut to begin video capture. Recording will continue until you press the shortcut again. During this time, you can click as many times as needed to demonstrate your workflow — the video will keep recording.
