Automatic video capture

Automatic video capture can be turned on & off in Guideflow's Chrome extension settings

There are three types of automatic video capture:

Record video on drag & drop

Capture a video clip when dragging and dropping elements.

Record video on scroll

Record vertical or horizontal scroll movements.

Record video on typing

Record a clip of the typing animation in a search or text bar.

Video Transition

When a video is automatically captured during a screen recording flow (e.g. scrolling, typing, or drag and drop), you can choose to display that step as a static screen instead of playing it as a video.

  • Select the video step in the editor.

  • Open Step information in the right panel.

  • Toggle off Video Transition to display the step as a static screen.

  • Toggle it back on at any time to restore the video playback.

You can trim and adjust the speed of automatic video captures in the Video capture editor.
